Nadav Savaya

Nadav was born and raised in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. After completing his military service in the Air Force, Nadav first encountered American Jewry at a summer camp in Arizona. While studying for his BA in Sociology, Anthropology, and Communications at the  Haifa University, Nadav guided groups of teens from the UK and the US around Israel. After completing his studies, Nadav traveled to South American and then began work as the shaliach at Hille Stanford.  After two years, he moved back to Israel, and worked as the Director of Birthright Israel programs for Young Judaea. After an additional shlichut in New York, Nadav and his wife, Rachel, moved to Chicago where he worked as the Regional Director for the Israeli-American Council. Since their return, Nadav has worked for various Israeli- and Jewish-centered educational organizations. Nadav holds a MA in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago, and today is the Director of Makom’s Connection Initiative. Nadav is married to Rachel and they have 3 beautiful girls.
